The Lake House is a place for jandal's and sunscreen, BBQ's and ice cold drinks in summer. Days spent skiing, fishing and paddling followed by long evenings relaxing around a brazier.
In Winter the Lake House is ideal for escape. Rugged up walks around the lake, hot chocolate, red wine, board game's book's and peace and quiet.
Whatever the season or whatever your reason, Lake Kaniere caters to all - families, couples, friends. The Lake House is situated at 12 Stuart Street, Hans bay Lake Kaniere, which is 15 minutes drive from the Hokitika township.
The Lake House is a traditional Kiwi Holiday home with the following sleeping configurations and facilities:
Extra’s - $20 for each extra guest per night maximum 6
( 2 double beds and one set of single bunks )
2-night minimum stay and 3-night minimum stay for 3 day long weekends
When you confirm your booking you will be asked to load your credit card with our on line booking service. You will pay a deposit of 25% to secure your booking and the remainder will be billed to this card on the date of checkin.
Please note that should any damage be found you will be billed for the repair of this. Please treat the houses as if they were your own.
Gas BBQ available- How you leave the BBQ will be how the next guest finds it so please clean BBQ after use.
We rely on rain water so, if we ask you, please conserve water whilst showering and washing. Please smoke outside and discard butts properly. No tents, caravans, campervans please-extra guests and pets by prior arrangement only.
Check in time is after 2.00pm, and check out time is 10 am day of departure unless by prior arrangement We ask that all guests strip the linens they have used and do their dishes. Please dispose of rubbish at the bins by the camping ground.
Check out is 10am - the cleaning staff are ready at waiting at 10am and time is money so please respect this. You can organise a late check out if necessary but if you leave the cleaners sitting on the side of the raod waiting a late check out fee will be charged. 1 hour of rudeness is a rude fee of $60NZD
Lake toys are available for hire on request - fishing rods and tackle boxes, kayaks and ski gear.
The keys will in a lock box at the property front entrance. You will be emailed a combination for the lock box and the key is inside. Please leave the key in this lock box to avoid losing it!
