The Light House

The Hokitika Light House by the Beach is the perfect location for a holiday house, close to the town centre with the wild West Coast shoreline at your back door.

 

The Hokitika light house by the beach is a place to come back to at the end of a day exploring Hokitika and surrounding areas in time to catch a West Coast sunset with the waves crashing at your feet. 

Situated at 8 Richards Drive Hokitika you are a short walk from the Arts, the Food, the Heritage and the outdoor adventures of Hokitika.

The Light House is a traditional Kiwi holiday home , modern decor, modern convienience whilst allowing you to feel  relaxed and at home.

The Hokitika light house by the beach on Richards Drive has the following sleeping configurations and facilities:

  • One room with a King bed. Linens supplied.
  • One room with a Double bed. Linens supplied
  • One separate bathroom with shower bath and toilet and one ensuite off the king room with shower and toilet.
  • A kitchen with oven, dishwasher, all utensils, crockery, pots, pans serving dishes, glasses etc. 
  • Open plan lounge 
  • Sunny out door areas

When you confirm your booking you will be asked to load your credit card with our on line booing service. You will pay a deposit of 25% to secure your booking and the remainder will be billed to this card on the date of checkin.

The Creek house is situated on our personal property and was solely for friends and family however when we have had overflow it has been used for guests and has proved a popular little house to stay. Make yourself at home - we will leave you to your own devices but if you need anything
please ask! Help yourself to the clothesline.

Please note that should any damage be found you will be billed for the repair of this. Please treat the houses as if they were your own.

Beds will be made with fresh linen. Bathroom and tea towels provided. Our water is rain water so please be conservative in the dry summer months. Our septic system is an eco system. Please do not flush or drain anything down the sinks that is not natural as harsh products will kill the bacteria needed to make this system work.

Please smoke outside and discard butts properly. No tents, caravans, campervans please-extra guests Check in time is after 2.00pm, and check out time is 10 am day of departure unless by prior arrangement We ask that all guests strip the linens they have used and do their dishes.

Please sort your recycling and rubbish in the bins at the rear of the big house.
